Job Purpose:
To ensure finished products meet specifications and prepare them for shipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Product Inspection
- Identify Defects and Non-Conformities
- Clean the product
- Prepare products for packaging (folding, rolling, etc.)
- Package products (per packaging specifications)
- Complete documentation for moving the finished product.
- Maintain documentation for tracking quality and productivity.
- Apply Design/ Engineering specifications.
- Maintain 5S work area.
- Other duties assigned by management.
Education/Experience:
High school graduate or GED. Preferred a minimum of two (2) years of experience in Manufacturing Quality Assurance.
Specific Job Skills Required:
- Must be able to prove regular and predictable attendance.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and the mission of the company.
- Proven ability to organize time and work without close supervision.
- Ability to accurately utilize measuring instruments (tape measure) and calculate dimensions.
- Ability to prove competency in detecting abnormal conditions and non-conformance.
- Must be familiar with computers and can learn the programs used.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with all coworkers to achieve common goals, communicating effectively and sharing information and resources.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to meet physical daily requirements of the job.

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
- Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and manipulate a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, stooping, twisting, crouching, kneeling, crawling, and neck mobility.
- Frequent gripping, pinching, reaching above shoulder level, and fine manipulation.
- Continuous reaching below shoulder level.
Potential for Promotion:
Inspector 1, Inspector 2, Senior Inspector, Quality Specialist as well as a variety of positions outside of Quality.
Relationship and Roles:
- This position will report directly to a Quality Team Leader.
- This position interacts with co-workers and all production leaders.
Work Environment/Safety:
Climate-controlled environment. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Overall, no Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, however, in some instances, this job may require the wearing of a variety of PPE that will be provided. If PPE is necessary, the employee will be mandated to wear it.
