Job Purpose:

As a lead team member, you will be responsible for leading and managing a group of team members, ensuring that they are productive and efficient, and helping them to achieve their full potential. Overall, being a lead team member requires a strong mix of leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Some of the key responsibilities you have to your team are to set clear goals and expectations, provide feedback and support, be a good communicator, handle difficult situations, and lead by example.

  7. Ability to handle a complex workflow, identify and resolve production issues, while maneuvering through custom specs.
  8. Ability to evaluate operations and make suggestions for improvements.
  9. Perform in-line repairs promptly.
  10. Immediately report any unplanned PTO including “late in” and “leave early” to VSL.
  11. Responds and coaches team members on reported in-line quality issues or policy infractions and reports issue to VSL if written warnings are required.
  12. Populate the Tier 1 board daily, (all metrics).
  13. Conduct Tier 1 board meeting every morning at shift start up.
  14. Announce all company communication to all team members in Tier 1 board meeting.
  15. Report Tier 1 metrics to VSL during Tier 2 meeting.
  16. After coaching team members on breaches of standard process with no correction achieved, inform VSL of any ongoing issues not followed; (red card, std. work, welder hit tracking, 5S, TPM documents, etc.)
  17. Report all machine down time on the Anchor Main Gateway & add to Tier 1 Board.
  18. Works with planning to evaluate and make decisions related to customer delivery promises. Escalate to VSL if needed.
  19. Must have good time management skills to be able to schedule work properly to ensure on time delivery.

Education/Experience:

High School Graduate or GED required.  Must have at least 1 year of production experience with Anchor products.
