Full job description

Responsible for the setup, support, monitoring, and patching of Anchor Industries networking, server, IP Phone, system backups, and end user systems. Perform a variety of maintenance, support, evaluation, installation, and training to ensure network and system performance meets company and end user requirements.

Essential duties and Responsibilities

· Administer network and wireless hardware and applications.

· Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, desktop systems, computer peripherals, and software.

· Keep all network and computer systems up to date with latest patches, firmware, and OS updates.

· Troubleshoot issues, identify root cause, provide/implement solutions for all systems.

· Manage and update Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Azure. Manage and maintain all software licenses.

· Perform and/or oversee software and application development, installations, and upgrades.

· Plan and implement network security including building firewalls, managing VPN access, managing hardwire and wireless security, network access, and ensure network reliability.

· Manage system backups, restore files upon request, and manage Anchor Industries disaster recovery plan.

· Manage and maintain Anchor Industries IP phone system.

· Ensure timely end user and management notifications of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability and production.

· Maintain confidentiality of all Anchor Industries and end user data.

Specific Job Skills Required

· 5 or more years of experience as a network and systems administrator

· Experience with Cisco Meraki solutions

· Microsoft Active Directory and Domain Infrastructure, DHCP, DNS, TCIP, and Domain Controllers

· Enterprise backup solution and Antivirus solutions

· Experienced with Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft applications, and Microsoft CoPilot.

· Hands on hardware and PC experience

· Excellent interpersonal skills

· Ability to work outside of normal business hours as required

· Experience with developing home-grown application

· Ability to translate technical information to non-technical personnel

Education/Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

· 5 years or more relevant years of experience

Relationship and Roles:

· This position will report directly to the Information Technology Manager.

· This position interacts with a wide variety of Anchor employees.

Work Environment/Safety:

Climate controlled environment. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Overall, no Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, however, on some instances, this job may require the wearing of a variety of PPE that will be provided to the employee. If PPE is necessary, the employee will be mandated to wear it. When fieldwork is required, employee will be exposed to the weather, more severe physical requirements, usage of small and large machinery and a variety of tools.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel to seminars or conferences identified to enhance skill related to the job.
