Job Purpose:
At Anchor, we’re redefining outdoor living with our innovative pergolas — and we’re looking for someone who loves hands-on work, problem-solving, and teaching others.
As the Pergola Installation & Support Specialist, you’ll take the lead in training dealers, improving installation processes, and ensuring every customer enjoys an exceptional experience. You’ll use your mechanical and electrical expertise to make a direct impact, both in the field and in the classroom, helping dealers across the expanding Anchor dealer network.
Skills and Competencies:
- High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or trade training a plus.
- 4+ years of experience in construction, installation, or a related technician role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills; able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; comfortable teaching and problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel (including overnight stays).
- Comfortable working at heights (up to 10 feet) using proper PPE.
- Interest in meeting Anchor’s customers, with the potential to transition into a sales role in the future.
Education/Experience:
Prefer a college graduate. Work experience should include a minimum of two (2) years in sales, sales support or customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Become the go-to expert on all things related to the Anchor Pergola product line — installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Train and support dealers both in-person and virtually, ensuring flawless installations.
- Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to share feedback and continuously improve the product and customer experience.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and diagnostic support to dealers and customers.
- Lead hands-on training sessions at our Evansville facility and at customer sites nationwide.
- Promote safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement in all aspects of your work.
- Knowledgeable regarding the Internet of Things (IoT) integrating smart technologies, sensors, and data systems into product operation and performance.

Dependent upon availability and individual performance.
Relationship and Roles:
- This position will report directly to the Sales Manager.
- Interacts with all levels of Anchor Team members, customers, vendors and others as needed.
Physical and Travel Requirements:
This role involves physical activity, including lifting (up to 100 lbs), using power tools, and working from ladders or lifts. Travel by car and plane is required for dealer training and support. Reasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
