Job Purpose:

Stage and load large rolls of fabric for the Eastman cutting machines, which cuts raw fabric material into pattern form. Will be required to meet productivity goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review work order and specifications.
  • Pulls correct material to be staged for all plant 2 Eastman cutting machines, loads material on the machine, and returns material back to the proper location.
  • Uses a forklift to safely remove skids of material from racking, stage materials for Eastman machine operation, and store skids back in racking after use.
  • Make sure the Eastman machines have skids to offload the cut material.
  • Always be available whenever a machine needs fabric loaded or unloaded.
  • Compare fabric listed on work order to fabric being staged.
  • Work with Lead Team Member to make sure the material needed is ordered on time.
  • Train new Cutting Loader Trainees.
  • Works cooperatively with all coworkers to achieve common goals; communicating effectively and sharing information and resources appropriately.
  • Keep work area neat, clean and organized.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership.

 

Education/Experience: Prefer high school graduate or GED.  One (1) year of related work experience or proven individual ability.  Will be trained further on the job for this position.  Forklift certification and prior experience are preferred but not required.
