Available Position: Engineering Graphics Specialist
This position will report to Joey Ruffin, Vice President of Engineering
Job Purpose: To develop and manage the Anchor product assembly manual program from conceptualization forward. To provide artistic/graphic support to sales team, customers, and others as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed engineering drawings and technical illustrations for tent structures using CAD software (AutoCAD).
• Convert AutoCAD/Inventor drawings of tent products into 3D models with accurate dimensions and details.
• Apply textures, materials, and lighting to 3D models to achieve realistic renderings.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to translate design concepts into precise technical drawings and diagrams.
• Create clear, concise, and visually appealing installation instructions for various tent products, catering to both experienced professionals and novice users using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ensure that installation instructions comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices.
• Incorporate feedback from field technicians, customers, and other stakeholders to continuously improve installation instructions and user manuals.
• Utilize technical expertise to anticipate potential installation challenges and provide solutions or troubleshooting guidance in the instructions.
• Develop graphical representations, diagrams, and illustrations to supplement written instructions and enhance user understanding.
• Coordinate with product development teams to stay updated on new tent designs and features, ensuring that installation instructions reflect the latest product specifications.
• Maintain documentation accuracy and version control for installation instructions, updating them as needed to reflect design revisions or improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including customer service, sales, and marketing, to address customer inquiries and provide technical support related to installation procedures.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Proficiency in CAD software (preferably AutoCAD) with experience in creating detailed engineering drawings and technical illustrations. Knowledge of Inventor software is a plus.
• Proven experience in technical writing, particularly in developing installation instructions, user manuals, or similar documentation.
• Experience using Photoshop, InDesign, KeyShot, Blender, or similar software.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documenting installation procedures and specifications.
• Willingness to obtain knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations related to tent construction and
installation (e.g., ASTM, NFPA).
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
• Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and address potential installation challenges.
• Experience in graphic design or visual communication is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
Education/Experience:
Prefer post high school training in graphics/computer graphics. Anchor product knowledge preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, documents, and regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
Ability to effectively establish rapport, present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and co-workers.
Skill and ability to meet people and listen. Good communication skills are mandatory.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate percentages and ratios.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.

Relationship and Roles:
• This position will report directly to Vice President of Engineering
• Interacts with all levels of Anchor employees.
Work Environment/Safety:
Climate controlled environment. Machines exposed to would be typical of any office environment. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Overall, no Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, however in some instances, this job may require the wearing of a variety of PPE that will be provided to the employee. If PPE is necessary, the employee will be mandated to wear it.
